Subject: Disagreement to a news piece published in The Times of India that states: Corruption is on the verge of extinction in India.
I am writing this letter is to express the cause and effect of increasing corruption in India. Recently, I have read a column in your newspaper that the percentage of corruption in India has come down. I simply don’t agree with this report. Corruption has been an integral part of our system, and it is not easy to get rid of from it. The corruption has increased to such a level that India has been marked one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Way back during the reign of Congress, we have known about the 2G spectrum scam, corruption in Commonwealth games, etc. The government of our country has not taken any major step against the leaders associated with these corruptions on these issues.
Besides scams and corruptions, there are other factors which are more or less associated with this like rise in petrol prices, poverty etc. But here also, the government has failed. This letter is not to instigate the feelings of readers, this is to tell all the people that how necessary it is to remove corruption from India. It is more important than everyone actually thinks it is. This is the right time to wake up and fight against corruption and corrupt people who are assigned the job of stopping this problem of corruption from our country.

I am writing this letter on behalf of the residents of Malviya Nagar to appeal you to make an inspection in our locality as the garbage has not been collected from here for more than a week. No garbage collectors have visited in our area since long. They only collect garbage from adjoining areas. Due to the accumulation of garbage for so many days there is a filthy smell all around of our area.
It is really a problem for us to come out of our house as the smell is very bad which can cause breathing problem and other air-borne diseases. Our nation is trying its best to clean India, but our locality has become a pile of dirt. We request you to take immediate actions to clear off the garbage and make our area clean. Your instant action shall be highly appreciated.

Subject: Chaotic State of Traffic on Delhi Road
Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the chaotic conditions of traffic on the roads that has worsened in the recent past and hence it is an obvious cause of concern. This has resulted in total confusion and anarchy on roads. Massive traffic jams have become common routine. Commuters get hassled due to heavy traffic jams since it takes a lot of time for them to reach their respective destinations.
Most of them get late for their work and others miss their trains or flights. These chaotic conditions are due to the increase in number of vehicles too. It is requested that some stringent measures have to be adopted by the traffic police and authorities to improve the situation on the roads. Efficient policing at the cross-road especially at peak hours has to be observed as well.
